Call for Applications: 2016 DAAD Visiting Junior Researchers
The BMW Center for German and European Studies at Georgetown University will host two DAAD-funded short-term research stays (6-10 weeks) for doctoral or postdoctoral students from German universities between February and December 2016. One position will be available in the spring/summer and one in the fall.
These research grants are open in terms of academic field. Priority will be given to applicants whose research connects to the work of the faculty at the Center (http://cges.georgetown.edu/people/facultystaff/).
Successful applicants will receive $3,365 to be used towards international travel ($1,365) and an honorarium ($2,000) for a working paper on the researcher’s topic. Depending on the length of stay, additional personal or home institutional funds may be required to meet minimum visa requirements in the United States.
Applications should be emailed to Christina Ruby at email@example.com by February 22, 2016. These should include a cover letter that outlines the research project as well as the requested dates of stay, a CV, and one letter of recommendation. Applicants will be notified of the results by February 29, 2016. This grant is made possible by the generous support of the DAAD.
Feel free to address any questions to Professor Jeffrey Anderson, Director of the BMW Center, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
