Elections for the 2009-2010 CGESAA Board are now open. Please click here for candidates' statements. E-voting is open from Friday, September 11 until 5:00 p.m. September 22, 2009. Alumni may also cast a ballot in person during the Fall General Meeting. Please check your e-mail for instructions on how to cast an e-vote. E-mail the Board at cgesaa@georgetown.edu with any questions regarding the election process, and please join us on September 22 when we announce the results of this year's CGESAA Board elections!

Hopper Award 2009

Each year, the CGES Alumni Association awards one student in their second year of MAGES study the Jill A. Hopper Award. Created by alumni in memory of their classmate Jill Hopper, the Award recognizes dedication to academic service and scholarship.

Congratulations to Ms. Lindsay Pettingill, the 2009 Hopper Award Recipient! Lindsay wrote a paper entitled "To Green or Not To Green? Political Competition over the Environment in Western European Election Platforms." Ms. Pettingill is a joint MAGES/Ph.D. candidate in Georgetown University's Government department.
