Work Experience: My professional experience has centered on transatlantic relations, political communication, and policy research through my positions at the James F. Byrnes Institute in Stuttgart and the German-American Institute in Heidelberg. In these roles, I primarily research US-German political developments, supported public outreach initiatives, and contributed to the planning and execution of events and programs on transatlantic affairs.
Why I Chose MAES: I chose the MAES program because complements my undergraduate focus on transatlantic cooperation by allowing me to study these issues from a European perspective. In addition, the program’s direct access to policymakers and practitioners in Washington D.C., is unmatched. Building on my background in US history and politics, political research, and professional experience, I hope to deepen my understanding of NATO, European security, and US-European relations. The Hoya community was also an important factor in my decision, and I am excited to become part of it this fall.
Academic and Research Interests: Transatlantic security, NATO and European defense, international organizations, strategic competition, and the interaction between domestic politics and foreign policy.
