Why I Chose MAES: I am interested in the political right in modern and contemporary Europe. I want to uncover and understand the impacts that European right-wing and populist parties and groups exert on foreign and domestic policy. The MAES program offers excellent opportunities to pursue my research interests with its policy-focused curriculum and proximity to experts in the fields I am curious about.
Academic and Research Interests: Nationalism, Right-wing Politics, Populism, Democratic Backsliding, European Identity, Foreign Policy, Authoritarianism, Modern and Contemporary European History
