Konstantin Oppolzer
Visiting Scholar
Konstantin Oppolzer is a Visiting Researcher at the Center for German and European Studies at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service. Konstantin currently conducts a post-doc research project on economic sanctions, which is generously funded by the Europe Institute at the University of Zurich.
In his research project, Konstantin, among other things, compares the legal frameworks of economic sanctions and the capabilities of sanctions authorities in the United States and Europe, with a particular focus on the European Union, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.
Konstantin is a Swiss qualified attorney-at-law. Prior to his research project, he worked at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan and UBS in Zurich. Originally from Vienna, Austria, he holds a Ph.D. in law from the University of St.Gallen and a graduate and master’s degree from the University of Vienna.
