Gregory Taushani
Class of 2023
Hometown: Minneapolis, MN
Education: University of Minnesota, Political Science and Global Studies Major
Work Experience: I worked for a year and a half in the Hennepin County government beginning senior year and after graduation, working in real estate records and supervising on the Elections absentee ballot processing team. Additionally, during undergrad, I interned for 3 state house campaigns, interned at the Albanian Consulate in Munich, worked briefly for a clinical research company, and worked part time as a student advisor in the Political Science department during the school year.
Why I Chose MAGES: I saw this program as a perfect combination of all my interests and experiences from undergrad and my personal background, German, European Politics, and International Relations. I see MAGES as a way to break into the field of transatlantic policy and international affairs regarding US-EU relations.
Intended Academic Focus: I am focusing on the integration of Albania into the European Union, and understanding the issues surrounding the country's candidacy and negotiations for accession.
