Class of 2024
Hometown: Istanbul, Turkey
Education: Georgetown University, School of Foreign Service, B.S. in International Politics and minor in Classics
Academic & Research Interests: Transatlantic Security, Naval Studies
Work Experience: Over my time as an undergraduate I have interned in the public sector, completing internships in both the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Embassy in Washington, DC, providing me with a unique insight into the execution and development policy in a Transatlantic context. I have also served as a research assistant for SEST-629 Force Planning under the Security Studies Program which has been a valuable introduction to academia.
Why I chose MAGES: MAGES provides an unparalleled opportunity, enabled by the varied and excellent academic selection that the School of Foreign Service offers, to chart my own path in studying security and strategic outlook of the Transatlantic region from a European perspective. Georgetown's location, in the heart of the American capitol, also provides countless opportunities for professional development that simply isn't possible anywhere else.
