Hometown: West Nyack, New York
Education: Princeton University, BA in Politics
Academic & Research Interests: US-German relations, Europe's role in US foreign policy, European security, and far-right threats to democracy
Work Experience: Over the last few years, I've accumulated most of my professional experience in Europe, beginning in the summer of 2019 with an internship at the German Parliament. After graduating with my bachelor's in May 2021, I moved to Vienna, Austria to pursue a Fulbright Combined Grant where I led an independent research project on the Covid-19 pandemic's influence on the Austrian far-right while also working as an English teaching assistant. During the summer of 2022, I worked at a political consulting firm in their Berlin office, analyzing press coverage legislative monitoring. In the fall of 2022, I returned to Vienna to begin working at the Austrian Institute for International Affairs where I contributed to a project funded by the U.S. Embassy on the future of transatlantic relations, culminating in a series of policy analyses.
Why I chose MAGES: The MAGES program offers the perfect opportunity for me to acquire the skills I would need to make a meaningful and substantial impact in the transatlantic context, both through the interdisciplinary nature of the program and through its unparalleled reputation in Washington D.C.
