Education: I received my bachelor's degree in International Relations from Ankara University, Turkey and completed my MA (research training) in International Politics at Aberystwyth University, Wales. In 2020, I started doing PhD in Politics department at the University of Exeter, the UK.
Academic and research interests: My doctoral research centres around the World Bank and its policymaking process, with a particular emphasis on environment and knowledge politics. Through my work, I aim to contribute to a better understanding of to what extent different knowledge types are integrated into the World Bank's decision-making and how such knowledge use is influencing strategic policy outcomes of the Bank.
Why I chose CGES: CGES provides me a unique opportunity to concentrate on the fieldwork part of my study. As part of my doctoral research, I am conducting archival studies and interviews while being based in Washington, DC.
