Why I chose MAGES: I realized fairly quickly in my academic journey that I preferred to focus my studies on a distinct region, prompting me to declare European Studies a secondary major after taking a wonderful course on European security my first semester of in-person college. Naturally, I found MAGES an enticing option in a sea of broader international affairs programs while applying to graduate school. I was quickly won over by its small cohort size, prime location, and flexibility to take courses in other programs at Georgetown, allowing me the freedom to chart my own path when it came to my study of the transatlantic partnership.
