Academic & Research Interests: My academic and research interests focus on several key areas within international relations, particularly concerning the European Union (EU). I am interested in how the EU formulates and implements its foreign policy. This includes studying its role in global diplomacy, crisis response, and promotion of human rights and democracy. My interests also covers the EU's enlargement process, including the political, economic, and social implications for both current member states and candidate countries. I aim to understand the challenges and benefits of expansion for the EU's cohesion and its ability to address transnational issues. I am particularly intrigued by the relationship between the EU and China, focusing on trade, political dialogues, and cooperation on global challenges like climate change. My goal is to explore how this relationship shapes global governance and regional stability.
Work Experience: I have worked as a junior policy advisor for two years at a Brussels-Zagreb based lobbying firm EuroNavigator, focusing on clients in the digital and media sectors. In this role, I gained experience in policy analysis and advocacy, helping clients navigate the regulatory environment of the EU. Additionally, I have led several NGOs dedicated to promoting sustainability, science, and innovation. These positions allowed me to develop leadership and management skills. I also served as the editor-in-chief of a student newspaper, overseeing content creation and managing a team of writers.
Why I chose MAGES: Washington, D.C., is a political summit for many, and I view Georgetown as my academic summit—the pinnacle of my educational journey thus far. Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service stood out to me during my search for a master's program. It offers an unparalleled environment, surrounded by passionate colleagues and supported by an incredible academic staff. I am confident that the MAGES program at Georgetown is the perfect place to advance my academic and professional goals.
