Sebastian Kopec

Hometown: New Lenox, Illinois

Education: Seton Hall University, B.S. in International Relations and Diplomacy

Academic & Research Interests: Democratization in post-Soviet states in the EU and seeing how the Russo-Ukranian War has affected Transatlantic Institutions.

Work Experience: I currently work as a Staff Assistant for Ambassador Rebecca Gonzales at the US Department of State’s Office of Foreign Missions and I formerly worked in the New York Regional office as a Program Specialist.

Why I chose MAGES: A new generation of Transatlantic leaders is needed to redefine US-EU relations and there is no better time than now to take part in that conversation. The MAGES program will give me the education and experience I need to specialize myself as I continue through my career in foreign relations.
