Concentrations
At the beginning of the program’s second semester, students work with their faculty advisor to develop an individual concentration. This concentration helps students frame the rest of their study at Georgetown, helping them to select a unified collection of courses that build toward the topic they wish to research for the capstone project.
Concentrations reflect the individual student’s unique interest. Concentration titles could be as broad as, “Defense and diplomacy,” or as specific as, “21st century gender relations in Austria.” In designing their concentrations, students will consider not only the topic areas in which they want to develop expertise during the MAGES program, but also practical skills they hope to develop.
